Program Details

The LoveOne...LoveAll® program will provide each participant with an unparalleled opportunity to travel as a group beginning August 2012 through June 2013. Students will experience daily life among people of many diverse cultures, acquiring unique experiences resulting in lasting impressions, lifelong friendships, and valuable, life-affirming lessons.

LoveOne...LoveAll® participants will travel together, accompanied by adult staff/chaperone/mentors and college professors who will serve as music and dance directors, coaches and teachers. The students will live with host families for an average of ten days in each city.

Students will have the opportunity to visit world-famous attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Arizona, Machu Picchu, Peru, Iguazu Falls, Argentina, St Peters Basilica, Rome, Italy, Lalibela, Ethiopia, Angkor Wat, Cambodia, and the Great Wall of China.

Experts in the politics, religion, history, economics, and current events of each region will share with the students via lectures, discussions, and visits to halls of government, museums, and other places of interest.

Three weeks before the group's arrival in each new city of the tour, an "advance team" of three or four participants will travel ahead to meet and coordinate with local sponsors creating an itinerary, coordinating host family accommodations, and advertising for the performance. They would arrange for visits to schools, factories, outlying villages, museums, and places of fun, and historical significance.

Throughout the tour, the students will have many opportunities to learn about the cuisine, arts and crafts, cultures, and customs of the host communities.

Note To Parents

Parents considering their son or daughter's participation in LoveOne...LoveAll® will want to keep in mind the unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity it will provide him or her for acquiring improved communication skills, broadened horizons, and increased awareness of our international community. As a good-will "ambassador" your son or daughter will represent America's youth, vibrant, energetic curious and gracious, to many people on four continents.

Perhaps best of all, your son or daughter will come home with a renewed sense of appreciation for the many opportunities afforded to American citizens after living among several cultures with fewer democratic and economic advantages.

Your son or daughter will develop a life-long appreciation for the people whose friendships and generosity (whether as guides, administrative authorities, or members of host families) helped to make their tour a safe, supportive, and unforgettable experience.

Your son or daughter will return to you from the 300 day adventure a more mature, self-assured, and self-reliant individual. His or her ability to focus, to have a stronger resilience, and a commitment to discipline will be significant benefits of the tour. You most likely will find your son or daughter more eager than ever to continue university studies, or to pursue an equally definite goal.

Living with families and interacting with a high percentage of professionals and others who are leaders in their fields will provide your child an opportunity to evaluate innumerable career paths as possible academic and professional pursuits.

Last, but not least, your son or daughter will be performing a two hour production for the benefit of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of the local citizens, young and old, in the town's soccer stadiums.

Your son or daughter will be in a position to make a contribution to the communities they visit and leave a lasting and positive impression upon the people they have encountered and befriended.

Pioneers For LoveOne...LoveAll ®

You can also become a pioneer and explore the world and discover for yourself what the world is truly like just as Marco Polo did at the age of seventeen in the 13th century (www.wliw.org/marcopolo). Now is an ideal time to realize this dream with your good health and stamina, curiosity, and fewest responsibilities in your life. You would be amazed by the diversity of people, their religions, customs, foods, the unique landscapes, wildlife, and breath taking Iguazu Falls, Machu Picchu, and Angkor Wat.

As an American, you have the undeniable freedom to travel anywhere in the world. It is your decision to pull up anchor and leave familiar and comfortable surroundings behind for exciting and unknown places

Participating in the LoveOne...LoveAll® would be to experience 300 days of sharing the joys and greater mutual understanding amongst people through music, dance, the sport of football and your community involvement.

Come and be one of the founding members of LoveOne...LoveAll® this August, 2012! "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail", Ralph Waldo Emerson. The program you help to create will be a legacy for many students to follow in your footsteps.

Gap Year

Are your thinking about taking a Gap year? That's a great idea! Universities encourage it.

For so many young people it is difficult to know which career to pursue. You can choose to explore your options during a Gap Year. This experience would provide you with a number of opportunities to discover the many options available in the "real" world. At the same time you would be taking classes offered by the University of New Mexico.

According to U.S. News and World Report, Harvard University's Dean of Admissions William Fitzsimmons advises, "Taking a pre-college year break (Gap Year) affords students the opportunity to focus and prepare for the challenge of college, and to grow emotionally and intellectually." LoveOne...LoveAll® will provide the benefits of travel and a formal education to help magnify and articulate for the students their unique journey.

Theme Song

Love One Love All

By Cabot Wade

Verse 1:
It only takes one sunset
The orange the reds the purple,
That beautiful sight To set me right.
So lovin' one, lovin' one, makes me love 'em all

A penny for your thoughts If crystal clear and kind
They'll make me wanna dig deep No price too steep
Lovin' one, lovin' one makes me love 'em all!

Chorus:
Love the one (each cast member points to him/herself) Stand him/her tall!
Love the one (pointing to ourselves,) lets us love us all! (pointing to the audience)

Verse 2:
It only takes one face with Two starlit eyes reflecting
The Infinite Smile To make it all worthwhile
Love one face, a face like that Makes me love them all

One taste of sweet success is The only introduction
One ever needs To do great deeds.......
lovin' one, lovin' one makes me love 'em all

Love One....Love All
